At Empact Films, we believe in the power of documentary filmmaking to drive social change. Founded in 2025, we are dedicated to creating compelling narratives that highlight systemic issues and inspire action towards a more equitable future.
Through our work, we aim to amplify voices that need to be heard, challenge conventional perspectives, and foster meaningful dialogue about the challenges facing our society.
Our Team
Ben Woosley
Founder
Ben brings together lessons from his long history of advocacy for causes such as "yes in my backyard", and market-and-tech-based environmentalism, with a systemic perspective informed by his engineering education and practice. He's loved documentaries throughout his life, with favorites including The Biggest Little Farm, Waiting for Superman, and The Singing Revolution.
He believes in the possibility of a transcendent future for civilization, and the full flowering of human potential.
